After the Apulia police station, destined to close due to the absence of crimes, is saved thanks to the resourcefulness of Commissioner Cinardi and his team, the policemen find themselves in action grappling with new investigations: the theft of the precious cross of Sant’Oronzo and the mysterious murder of a Viscount. The experienced cops are ready to juggle new cases with all their usual comedy and clumsiness. The team will also deal with their personal problems.
A great cast gives life to two stories, with Claudio Bisio in the role of Commissioner Cinardi who, after years of having a glorious career, is still in search of the desired tranquility. Pietro Sermonti plays Nicola Gargiulo, ironically nicknamed O’sicc for his physical aspect; Giulia Bevilacqua is Inspector Maria Crocefissa Cercola, a true southern woman, mother and wife. Francesco Mandelli is the fanatic agent Benny the Cop. In the team there is also Guglielmo Poggi in the role of Tommaso, the young switchboard operator of the police station, and Dino Abbrescia who plays Zu Tore, a traveling cook from Apulia. The bizarre team also includes Gaia Messerklinger who plays Catia, a young, beautiful and inexperienced magistrate on her first assignment. Massimo De Lorenzo is Don Manolo, the parish priest of Apulia; Ninni Bruschetta is The Count, a fallen nobleman who lives with his elderly mother. Tullio Solenghi is Don Filippo, sent by the Vatican to assist Cinardi in one of the investigations.
