Isola d’Elba, 2004: Anna Reali (Anna Valle) and Tamara Valente (Irene Ferri) Elba Island, 2004: Anna Reali (Anna Valle) and Tamara Valente (Irene Ferri) are two inseparable friends with a passion for music, and together they form a successful musical duo. During an evening on a yacht, the two young women are victims of violence by a group of strangers.

OggiToday: Anna has become an airline pilot who, after the trauma she suffered, has built an unbreachable fortress around herself. Meanwhile, her friend has remained on the island, where she opened the B&B "Le Sirene" (The Sirens), specializing in holidays for guests who wish to make peace with themselves and heal their soul's wounds

Suddenly, a phone call from Tamara, whom she hasn't heard from in twenty years, plunges Anna back into the nightmare:

"HE is here," Tamara reveals to Anna, "come immediately".

But who is HE? A wealthy Milanese tourist… but for Anna and Tamara, he's one of the culprits of that horrendous crime that forever shattered their lives. Having discovered his presence on the island, Tamara knocked him out and imprisoned him in a shed, to make him reveal the names of his accomplices. But when she returns to him with Anna, the man is dead. On his chest, a bullet hole.

Tamara immediately becomes the prime suspect in the crime, and Anna will do everything to clear her name. Investigating the murder – and the two friends – is Commissioner Luca Bonnard (Giorgio Marchesi)… the same man who, on that fateful night, saved Anna from drowning after she had jumped from the boat where she and Tamara were being assaulted. Luca has never forgotten the magnetic eyes of that 'siren' he saved from the water: it will be difficult for both of them to separate suspicion from attraction, and to surrender to a feeling that grows stronger every day. Luca Bonnard (Giorgio Marchesi)… lo stesso uomo che, in quella fatidica notte, salvò Anna dall’annegamento, dopo che si era tuffata dalla barca su cui lei e Tamara stavano subendo violenza. Luca non ha mai dimenticato gli occhi magnetici di quella ‘sirena’ che ha salvato dalle acque: sarà difficile per entrambi separare il sospetto dall’attrazione, e lasciarsi andare a un sentimento che diventa ogni giorno più forte.

Mentre si dibatte per sviare i sospetti del bel commissario, e al contempo cerca di capire chi è il vero assassino, Anna si trova anche a fare da madre a Mia, la figlia di Tamara che non sa di essere nata da quella orribile notte, e a prendersi cura degli ospiti del B&B “Le Sirene”.

Sullo sfondo, i magnifici scenari e il mare cristallino dell’Isola d’Elba, e una piccola comunità con la sua rete di relazioni, in cui non mancano segreti, bugie, corruzione, ricatti, che l’indagine di Anna e Luca svelerà pian piano, per arrivare a un finale sorprendente.
