British policeman Jim Worth moves to Canada with his family to escape a dark past, and begins running the local police station. The tranquility of the town of Little Big Bear is shattered by the arrival of North Stream Oil, a British oil company, which intends to build a refinery there. The arrival of the company, with a major influx of foreign workers, brings with it a trail of crime and blood that comes to affect Jim and his family. When this happens, Jim is forced to awaken Jack Devlin, his violent alter ego, in order to get revenge.
